Hobart Brothers offers new stick electrode resources

Article Tools

To educate welders on the use of stick electrodes, Hobart Brothers Company (www.hobartbrothers.com) is offering a series of technical posters.

The first poster in the series defines terms such as yield and tensile strength, and provides information on testing techniques in language that is concise and easy to understand. The poster's diagrams illustrate how welding industry engineers use destructive weld tests, such as all weld metal tension tests and the Charpy-Vnotch impact method, to assure the integrity of stick electrodes.

The Hobart Brothers' Electrode Technical Information poster is available free by calling 1-888462-2789. Posters also can be ordered by email from: databs@mindspring.com.
