Arcos Industries LLC (www.arcos.com) has introduced bare wire and covered electrode versions of its Arcos 59 that is designed for welding in the corrosive environments of chemical processing facilities.
Arcos 59 (ERNiCr- Mo-13) bare wire is a nickel-chromiummolybdenum alloy with extra low carbon and silicon content and no tungsten to prevent grain-boundary precipitation during hot forming and welding. It offers corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and thermal stability.
Due to its chemical composition, the covered Arcos 59 electrode (ENiCrMo-13) is resistant to attack by chloride ions in low pH media. As with the bare wire, this covered product features high weldability and low sensitivity to hot cracking.
