The Lincoln
Electric Co. (www.lincolnelectric.com) designed its new Mobiflex
fume extractor to reduce welding dust, smoke and fumes in the work
environment. The company says the lightweight and rugged design,
its rear wheels and front caster wheels make the extractor easy to
move. The extraction arms are available in 10 ft. and 13 ft.
lengths. The company recommends its Mobiflex 200M for consumable
use of 1,500 lbs per station (1,100 lbs per stick or flux-cored),
and its Mobiflex 400-MS for consumable use of 6,000 lbs. per
station (4,000 lbs. per stick or flux-cored).
Separately, Lincoln has introduced four, low-hydrogen and two, cellulosic stick electrodes for welding different grades of pipe. The company recommends its Pipeliner 7P+ and 8P+ cellulosic electrodes for root, hot, fill and cap-pass welding, and says it designed the electrodes for use in all position welding. Lincoln recommends its Pipeliner 17P, 18P, 19P and 20P lowhydrogen electrodes for fill and cap pass vertical-up welding, and says the each electrode is designed for different grades of pipe. These electrodes have the company's Easy Strike tip and Integrated Silicate Technology.
