Victor's Configurator program eliminates the need for the 8-digit part number that the company previously used. The part number now is derived by a configured string or description that identifies each regulator.

Victor (at www.thermadyne.com) is changing the description of a part to become the part number, such as the model, outlet pressure, inlet connection, outlet connection, and options. When a customer requires a custom regulator, the Configurator will provide the avenue to create a bill of materials and will provide information on pricing and availability immediately.

The Configurator also is designed to simplify pricing for the company's High Purity and Instrumentation (HP&I) regulators by providing a base price for each series of regulators and allowing options to be added.

Victor has served the gas market since its formation in 1913. Victor's extensive background and expertise in gas pressure controls resulted in the creation of the Victor Specialty Products brand. Their products include gas regulators and conserver devices, cylinders, transfilling systems, cylinder carriers and racks, and accessory items.
