New electronic calipers from L.S. Starrett Co. (www.starrett.com) are light, have a streamlined profile and feature zero at any position, inch/millimeter conversion and a large, visible LCD display. Starrett 799 calipers are available in three models, each measuring from 0 to 6 in., 8 in., or 12 in. (150 mm, 200 mm, or 300 mm). The calipers are made of hardened stainless steel and include a lock screw to hold the solid in position after fine adjustments are made with the thumb wheel.
