The Model 9000 Bevel-Mill plate beveler is designed to produce bevels to 1 3/16-in. Heck Industries (www.heckind.com) says its plate beveler is suitable for weld preparation beveling, and uses standard carbide inserts in a milling cutter for beveling most machinable materials, such as mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Operators feed the machine along the edge of the plate at up to 6 ft. per minute.
