Michael J. Ostaffe has joined ESAB Welding & Cutting Products (www.esab.com) as vice president of product management and development for filler metals for North America. He will be responsible for driving ESAB's programs in product management, product research and development of filler metals. He will also assume the responsibility for marketing communications for all products in North America.

Ostaffe joined ESAB from Honeywell, General Electric, Philips and A.T. Kearney where he held various management and consulting roles. He received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He and his family will relocate from Minnesota to the Hanover, Pa., area.
